PREDISPORT (PTY) LTD and its websites including YOUPRA.com (collectively referred to as “we”, “our” and “us”) are committed to safeguarding the privacy of your personal information (“PI”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

In this Policy, “you” or “your” refers to all data subjects whose PI we collect, including persons, whether a natural or juristic person, regardless of which country you live or work. This Policy also applies to all PI, whether it was provided to us through our websites or through any other form of communications with you such as email, telephone, or otherwise, through or by third parties or tools that collect PI.

By submitting your personal information to us, and by using the YOUPRA.com website, you confirm your consent to the use of your personal information as set out in this Policy.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We must process some of your personal information to provide you with our service and to enable you to make use of the features and functions provided on our websites. We use your personal information to:

• Identify you.
• Enable you to login.
• Enable you to receive confirmations, approvals, notices or official documentation (including invoices and receipts) in relation to your use of the functions and features provided by the website.
• Prevent any fraudulent or malicious activity, and make sure that everyone is using our software fairly.
• Communicate with you regarding any of the functions and features that we make available to you, or to request feedback from you about our website (including through client surveys).
• Send you reminders (if requested by you).

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The PI we collect is dependant on the function and feature you are using or the transaction you are performing on the website, or the reason you are communicating with us. When you engage with us, you provide us with the following PI, including but not limited to:

• When you use the website to create a new competition, where you are the organiser of the competition that will be inviting others to join the competitions, you provide us with:
  • Your first name and last name.
  • Your contact number
  • Your email address
  • Your business- or competition name (only when you want to identify your business or competition name as the organiser of a competition)
  • Your banking details (only when you need to share your banking details with competition entrants who need to pay their competition entry fees into your bank account)
• When you use the website only to submit your score prediction for a competition organised by someone else, you provide us with:
  • Your “Player Name” (which could be your name only, or your name and surname, or a nickname)
  • You email address
• When you use our website to advertise your business, brand, venue or competition, you provide us with:
  • Your business name
  • Your website address (optional)
  • Your VAT number (optional)
  • Competition name (optional)
  • Further details (optional)
  • Your digital banner advert you wish to display, which may include any information that you wish to make publicly available.

INFORMATION WE DON’T COLLECT

We do not collect or retain your bank card details used for any payments made on the website. This information is collected by financial institutions that have their own privacy policies. You are advised to never respond to emails that seem to be from us requesting bank card details as this request is most likely fraudulent and should be reported to us immediately.

We do not collect any special personal information as defined in section 26 of POPIA including your religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political persuasion, health or sexual orientation or biometric information.

COOKIES, TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES AND USAGE DATA

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to automatically track activity on the website; collect and store usage data and to ensure the authenticated use of the website.

Cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie does NOT give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the usage data noted below and data you choose to share with us.

SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

PROCESSING, PROTECTION, STORAGE AND RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We undertake to take all reasonable and necessary steps to secure the integrity and confidentiality of your PI and protect your information from misuse, loss, interference, unauthorised access, modification or unauthorised disclosure.

Your PI is stored in a secure environment, with the application of passwords and other security protocols.

We may process and store your PI on servers located outside the borders of South Africa in a foreign country.

By using the website, you consent to us processing and storing your Personal Information in a foreign country, i.e. outside of South Africa, whose laws regarding processing of PI may be less stringent.

We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, and as required by law.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• enquire from us whether we hold your PI, subject to you providing us with adequate proof of identity.
• where necessary, request the correction or deletion of your PI.
• object to, restrict or limit the processing of your PI.
• object to using your PI for purposes of direct marketing.

We will acknowledge your request as required under applicable data protection laws. However, the rights mentioned in this Policy are not absolute: the rights do not always apply, and exemptions may be applicable. We will ask you to verify your identity and/or ask you information to assist us in better understanding your request.

Should we have reasonable grounds to believe that your PI has been accessed or acquired by any unauthorised person, we will, as soon as is reasonably possible and lawfully required, notify the applicable regulator, as well as yourself, unless we are unable to establish the identity of the PI that has been unlawfully accessed.

LIMITATION

We are not responsible for, give no warranties, nor make any representations in respect of the privacy policies or practices of linked or any third-party websites.
